My body woke me up naturally today, but it also did not want to get up. Explain that one to me why don’t you.

Essentially the day was not particularly eventful, but it was a day with a start and a finish so here I am writing anyways. I spent the morning organizing my things from the trip while slowly getting myself together to exist as a functioning human for the day. Coffee helped, and so did buttered bread.

After lounging and writing and editing, it was class time. Taking the metro, because my legs were foreign entities attached to my body that my brain could not recognize or figure out how to work, I arrived slightly early. Class though consisted of finishing up my redaction and vetting ideas with other group members for the final project. Heading back home, the walk was peaceful and warm. The sun broke through the trees, and I was thankful for the slowness of the day. I will confess I had two coffees at Reid hall, but the effect was still not presenting itself to my exhausted being.

Dinner was strangely homey in that it was a cabbage stew called Choucroute in French, originating in Strasbourg, but is also a traditional Slovak dish called Kapustnica that I'm familiar with. My taste buds appreciated this touch of culture that felt all encompassing. The start of the meal was full of radishes and the end was full of pineapple.

To top off my restful day, I enjoyed a chat with my parents and some future travel planning which is TBD.
